Every time you upload or replace a candidate's resume, it's automatically checked in the background — there's no button to click. You'll see a Checking resume timeline… indicator on the candidate's page while it runs.
The check looks for one specific kind of thing: a claimed number of years of experience with a named technology that doesn't line up with that technology's real-world release timeline — for example, five years of experience with a framework that's only been public for two. It does not evaluate employment gaps, overlapping dates, graduation dates, or anything that could reveal a candidate's age.
It also extracts a flat list of skills mentioned in the resume, which feeds candidate skill search elsewhere in the app — so you can find candidates by skill even before you've screened them.
When it's done, you'll see either "Reviewed — no timeline concerns found" or a card for each flag, labeled Worth reviewing, showing the specific claim and the specific concern in plain language. There's no numeric score, star rating, or pass/fail tag anywhere in this feature — every flag is phrased as something for you to double-check yourself, not a conclusion the AI has already reached.
This is the same principle behind every AI feature in the product: the AI generates questions, guidance, and things worth a second look — it never scores, ranks, or decides on a candidate for you. That judgment call is always yours.
