Blueprint configuration

Running a screening session

Once a role has a blueprint and a candidate assigned to it, click Open session from that candidate's row to start the actual screen. The questions you'll ask are locked in at that point — if you edit the blueprint later, an in-progress or completed session keeps the question set it started with.

For each question, you can mark it Asked, rate the candidate's answer as Strong, Neutral, or Weak, and jot down notes — all while the call is happening. Toggle Show answer guidance any time to reveal what the question tests, what a strong vs. weak answer sounds like, and suggested follow-up probes, without the candidate seeing your screen.

Everything you type autosaves as you go — you'll see a small Saving… / Saved indicator, and there's nothing to click to trigger a save. Even if you close the tab mid-sentence, a last-chance save fires on the way out, so you're very unlikely to lose notes.

There's also an Overall notes field for anything that doesn't belong to one specific question — general impressions, communication style, logistics.

Don't see a question for something that came up? Click + Add a question to jot one down on the spot, with the same rating and notes fields as any generated question — it's saved alongside the rest of the session and marked "Added by you" so it's easy to tell apart later.

Before you can finish, choose a verdict: Advance, Reject, or Undecided. The Complete session button stays disabled until you do — this is deliberate, so a session can't get closed out without someone actually making a call.

Clicking Complete session asks you to confirm, then locks the whole session as read-only (no more edits to ratings, notes, or the verdict) and updates the candidate's status on that role to match your verdict — Advance moves them to Advancing, Reject moves them to Rejected, and Undecided moves them to Screened. If you need to change a verdict after completing a session, ask an admin — there's no self-service reopen for sessions the way there is for support tickets.

A completed session isn't the end of the line — from that same page, you can start a new attempt at any difficulty (reusing that role's existing question set for the tier you pick, or generating one if none exists yet), or start a fully blank session with no generated questions at all if you'd rather run the whole call ad hoc. Every prior attempt stays visible in the role's session history; nothing is ever overwritten.
