The Candidates page opens on Name search by default. A toggle at the top switches to Skills, which shows a chip for each skill extracted from resumes across your pool — pick one or more chips to filter, or type in the box next to them to find a skill outside the default set.
In Name mode, type to filter the list as you go, or use the A-Z rail along the left edge to jump straight to a letter — useful once your pool grows past a quick scroll. The rail stays in view as you scroll the list.
Skill chips are ordered by how common that skill actually is across your current candidate pool, most common first, so the useful ones are usually visible without typing anything. A Match all / Match any toggle next to the chips controls whether a candidate needs every selected skill or just one of them.
Search results are always ordered alphabetically by name — never by how well a candidate matches, since this is a lookup tool, not a ranking. See AI never scores or ranks candidates on the homepage for why that's a deliberate product principle, not just true of this one screen.
